Meta Mode

In Meta mode Alternate is the so called Meta key; pressing Alternate plus a second key will produce the ASCII code of that letter plus 128 (the Meta key sets the eighth bit of the character). To enter Meta mode press AltCapsLock (this will toggle an indicator on the statusline).
